The Academic Association for Security Studies (BSH)

The Academic Association for Security Studies (short: BSH, Bundesverband Sicherheitspolitik an Hochschulen) is the largest security policy network in Germany for young talents. In addition, it serves as an umbrella association for over 25 student groups. The BSH appears as an intermediary within the public space, and offers students the opportunity to work with security policy and enter into dialogue with diverse security policy related actors and agents within an academic context.

In this way the BSH has established an academic forum for the discussion of security policy related topics and provides its member with a comprehensive network for debate, research and publication as well as the interaction with the association’s partners. BSH offers a range of activities, from student group events at numerous university sites to workshops carried out several times a year and excursions at the national level.
