Preamble

The German Academic Association for Security Studies at universities is a union of university students groups whose aim is to promote security policy discussions at universities. It stands for the existence of armed forces necessary to preserve the free, democratic and social Federal Republic. The guarantee of freedom alone can preserve the freedom of research and teaching.

The German Academic Association for Security Studies at universities calls for all universities to assume their responsibility to encourage the security and preservation of our state.

Article 1

The German Academic Association for Security Studies at universities stands for the free democratic order of the Federal Republic of Germany. To ensure this, it supports the German Federal Army as a defence instrument to preserve peace and freedom. It supports the integration of the Federal Republic of Germany and its armed forces into the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation to defend the member states committed to the principles of human rights, freedom and democracy.

Article 2

Political freedom is the fundamental precondition for independent scientific work at universities.
Teachers and students are therefore asked to assume political responsibility to ensure the freedom of research and teaching within a democratic constitutional state. The German Academic Association for Security Studies at universities calls upon universities to commit their scientific skills to securing freedom.

Article 3

In cooperation with the Federal Army Reserve Association (VdrBw ? Verband der Reservisten der Deutschen Bundeswehr e.V.) and the German Federal Army, the German Academic Association for Security Studies at universities supports the military promotion of the members of its university groups.

Article 4

The members of the university groups of the German Academic Association for Security Studies universities amicably support each other in study-related issues, as well as in all other important affairs in friendship and loyalty.

Article 5

The Federal Security Policy Association at German universities represents the interests of its university groups in front of the university, the Army Reserve Association, the German Federal Army and the general public.
